Brenda James has been honored with a Lifetime Service Award in recognition of her 34 years of dedicated service in municipal government. She served as the City Clerk for East Point from 1999–2010, following her tenure as Customer Service Manager from 1986–1999. Brenda went on to serve as the City Clerk for Fairburn from 2010–2016 and returned to the role in 2022, where she continues to serve until her retirement on December 31, 2025.

Mrs. James has provided invaluable leadership, professionalism, and sound guidance in navigating many significant challenges faced by the city throughout her tenure. Her defining focus has been the development of strong, cooperative relationships with Fulton County, the Chamber of Commerce, and various local and regional municipalities—contributions that have greatly enhanced the progress and reputation of the City of Fairburn.
